About Iguazu Falls Boat Tour

Why this site exists

Two companies drive boats under these waterfalls and both publish a price. Iguazú Jungle asks AR$100,000 for La Gran Aventura; Macuco Safari asks R$384 for the Brazilian run. Neither number appears in the packages travellers actually buy, which quote one dollar figure covering a transfer, a guide, a park ticket and the boat, with no breakdown and no way to tell which of the four you are paying for.

That gap is the reason for this site. A US$170 Argentine day is not expensive or cheap in the abstract - it is about US$64 more than walking up to the operator's counter with a park ticket already bought, and whether that is worth paying depends on where you sleep, whether you have a car and how much of the day you want handed to you. The arithmetic is printed here because nobody else prints it.

How the comparison is built

Each listing is read off the platform and written down field by field - the rate, the rating and how many reviews it rests on, the hours, the group cap, who is collected and where, what the price covers and what is still owed at a window, the cancellation deadline, the age floor - with the month it was read printed beside it. Silence is recorded as silence: where a listing does not say, this site says it does not say.

The counter prices are taken from the people who charge them: the Iguazú Jungle excursion page for Gran Aventura and Travesía Iguazú, the Macuco Safari ticket page for the Brazilian boat, iguazuargentina.com for admission to Parque Nacional Iguazú and the official Cataratas do Iguaçu shop for the Brazilian park. All four were read in September 2026 and quoted with their own figures intact.

Climate figures come from the ERA5 reanalysis for Puerto Iguazú, 2015 to 2024, via Open-Meteo. Peso and real amounts lead every price on this site because those are the numbers on the counter; the dollar figure beside them is one day's exchange rate and is named as such.

What we do not do

We compare tour listings, official visitor information and recent traveller feedback. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours.

Nobody writing here rode a boat last Tuesday, and this site does not pretend otherwise. There is no invented guide with a first name and a portrait, no photograph presented as ours, and no sentence built on a memory of standing at the dock. In place of that: a date on every figure and a named source for anything that did not come off the listing.

Reviews

Quoted reviews are short excerpts from dated, verified bookings on the platform's own listing for the tour they sit under. Ratings and review counts are the operator's numbers, reproduced as they stood on the date shown, and the site itself carries no rating of its own because it has no reviews.

Criticism is not deleted, it is relocated. A cancelled boat, a pickup time that lands at eight in the evening, a circuit closed for months - those belong in the guide text with the practical response beside them, not in a quotation block that exists to sell a day out.

How the site earns

Corrections

Argentine peso prices move with inflation and the river changes what is open from one week to the next - the Devil's Throat circuit closed on 3 August 2026 with no reopening date, and pages written before that are now wrong everywhere on the internet. If a figure here has gone stale, tell us and it will be corrected with a fresh check date rather than quietly edited.
